Acadian Coast Roasted Cauliflower Steaks with Lemon Tahini Sauce

About the Recipe

Ingredients

For the cauliflower steaks:

  • 1 large head of cauliflower

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 4 tbsp Acadian Coast Steak Spice



For the lemon tahini sauce:

  • 1/4 cup tahini

  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp water (more if needed for desired consistency)

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • Optional: Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish

Preparation

  • Prepare the cauliflower:

    • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

    • Trim the cauliflower, removing the leaves and stem, then cut it into 1-inch thick steaks.

    • Lay the cauliflower steaks flat on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

    • Drizzle olive oil over the cauliflower steaks and sprinkle with Acadian Coast Steak Spice. Rub the seasoning into the cauliflower to ensure it’s evenly coated.

  • Roast the cauliflower:

    • Roast the cauliflower steaks in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through. The cauliflower should be golden and slightly crispy around the edges.

  • Prepare the lemon tahini sauce:

    • In a small bowl, whisk together tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, salt, and black pepper.

    • Add water little by little, whisking until you reach your desired sauce consistency (it should be smooth but pourable).

  • Serve:

    • Once the cauliflower steaks are roasted, plate them and drizzle with the lemon tahini sauce.

    • Garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro, if desired.
